Agile Data Process Engineer

Gear Stream, Inc is currently looking for a Senior Agile Data Process Engineer for an immediate opportunity in the NY Metro area. Candidates do not have to be local, but must be willing to travel and work on location at a NY Metro client site. Qualified candidates will have extensive experience in the areas of data architecture, data modeling, data warehousing, data cleansing and process engineering with a solid Agile process background.

In this role you would be helping our client develop a new process to align their ‘data on-boarding’ processes with their Agile software
development processes. Primary responsibilities would include developing a process framework to transform the client’s DBA team away from a dependence on traditional ETL and RBDMS-centric solutions, while finding ways to reorganize their work into the same Agile cadence as the rest of the development teams.

To qualify for this role, you must have solid technical, hands-on data architecture skills AND process engineering skills AND Agile process skills. Specific technology stack knowledge is not required but will be considered a plus. Candidates must have extensive experience in data modeling, relational database design and development, data warehouse architecture, design and implementation, as well as applications development and programming.

Qualified candidates must be able to demonstrate strong client-facing presentation and facilitation skills, coaching and mentoring experience on several projects. Candidates must have experience coaching and mentoring software teams on Agile process transitions.

A minimum of 5+years experience using Agile methods is required.
